Before joining Elevation Securities in 2018, Illan was Head of Special Situations at Cantor Fitzgerald. He started his career on the floor of the NYSE and later joined Jones Trading, where he was the single largest producer during his first year business. From 2007 to 2016, he was a managing direction at BTIG, focusing mainly on Special Situations.

Ilan currently resides in Cresskill, NJ with his wife and three kids. He enjoys golf, mountain biking, and coaching his boys in football.
